To help us ensure a seamless communication experience for everyone, we kindly ask that you take a few moments to do the following:
Update Your Information: Whenever you change your phone number or email address, please call your child's school or the district office to have your contact information updated. We can't reach you if our records aren't accurate!
Keep Your SC Schools App Updated: Please make sure the SC Schools app is installed and regularly UPDATED on your device and that notifications are turned ON. This is one of the fastest ways we will communicate important information.

November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. Please support awareness and the SCPS McKinney-Vento program by purchasing a GREEN shirt. Students and staff will be encouraged to wear GREEN every Friday in November.

๐๐งก Pumpkin Exploration Fun! ๐งก๐
Mrs. Petersโ kindergarten Cubs rolled up their sleeves and got messy exploring pumpkins! ๐โจ They scooped out seeds, felt all the gooey pulp, counted seeds, and labeled the parts of a pumpkin to discover whatโs inside. ๐ฑ๐
It was a hands-on day full of learning, laughter, and teamwork โ our Cubs showed what it means to be Active Collaborators and Empowered Learners! ๐ป๐ก

๐๐ Pumpkin Fun in Mrs. Macโs Class! ๐๐
Mrs. Macโs Cubs have been learning all about the pumpkin life cycle โ from seed to sprout to full-grown pumpkin! ๐ฑโจ They wrapped up their unit with some creative pumpkin painting ๐จ๐งก and an awesome field trip to Mulberry Orchard! ๐๐
Our young scientists and artists showed what it means to be Empowered Learners and Active Collaborators, exploring nature, asking questions, and celebrating fall fun together. ๐ป๐ป

This week, our amazing 4th and 5th graders learned all about being good digital citizens โ using technology safely, kindly, and responsibly. Then, they put their learning into action by creating fun Google Slides presentations to teach our 2nd and 3rd graders how to be awesome digital citizens too! ๐ฌ๐
Weโre so proud of our older students for being Engaged Citizens who care about their community and Effective Communicators who share their knowledge with others. ๐๐

Before the break, our 3rd grade Cubs took time to think about their futures and set big goals for themselves! ๐ฏโจ From future careers to personal dreams, they reflected on what inspires them and how they can take steps to get there. ๐๐

Mrs. Dillโs 1st graders had a spooktacular week learning all about bats! ๐๐ They even worked in the dark โ just like a real cave! ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ชจ To make it even more special, some awesome 5th graders stopped by to read a book they were studying in their small group. ๐
Next week, these curious Cubs will wrap up their bat unit by creating their own mini research projects โ showing off their skills as Empowered Learners and Active Collaborators! ๐ป๐ก
