TES Kindergarteners transformed into doctors to review letters/sounds and to practice counting. They practiced fine motor skills by carving pumpkins!!











Yesterday Mrs. Burns' class learned about Election Day and held a mock election on the best cookie! We read a book, filled out our own voter registration cards, performed research on the candidates, and casted our votes in the voting booth. We even got our own I Voted bracelets when we were finished!











Congratulations to our annual TES Pumpkin Character Contest winners! Take a look at all of our other amazing entries, too. Everyone did such a great job!

Mrs. McIntoshโs class is working on being active collaborators and empowered learners while working with their math partner on addition and subtraction problems with teen numbers.

Mrs. Zielbergโs class has just started on our writing using persuasive writing in this past week. We invited Mr. Allgeier from the Louisville Metro Firefighters to come to our classroom to find out a little more of what he does with his career and to get some ideas on how to important our writing pieces persuading others to become firefighters in the future. We came up with several examples of how important it is to have firefighters in our lives. Thank you again Mr. Allgeier for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit, talk to us & give real-life examples of what makes a firefighter special!

Mrs. Lauyansโ class cooperative learning by using Talking Chips about their prediction for our new story, A Home on the Prairie.





Last night at the board meeting some of our 4th grade students teamed up with a board member to complete a STEM challenge! Mrs. Kidwell and our STEM program has been a wonderful addition to our special area rotations! The students are loving it! Great job tigers!!!







Last Friday during our Tiger Talk, our new students were sorted into their Tiger house and students had the opportunity to purchase house accessories! Students also played a fun game to help them understand the meaning of unity. We want our students to understand the importance of including everyone in all that they do! ๐๐งก

5th grade students took advantage of no internet and went outside to enjoy a good book and the beautiful weather!











Mrs. Porter's students demonstrated skills of an Effective Communicator by engaging in meaningful discussions with a group using the RACE strategy to analyze their findings and strengthen their responses!ย ย

TES has Tiger Talk tomorrow! Please have students wear their house shirts. Our Tiger Lair will also be open. Students can purchase items from 8:15-8:45 - Cash and Check are acceptable forms of payment. (See the attached image for items that will be on sale)


Next week is Red Ribbon Week at TES. We will have a dress up theme each day and we will focus on a habit that encourages students to lead healthier lives! All students have a copy of this coming home with them today.
